1967-1976

April 1967 Jack Tidd Ross Todd is formed.
August 1969 Tidd Tag Axle fitted to D Series Ford Truck
May 1975 First Grove Superstructure (TMS180) fitted on to a Tidd Crane Carrier
September 1976 Tidd Hydrawide Trailer built for Freightways

 

1977-1986

May 1977 First Grove Crane sold was an American RT58 Rough Terrain
August 1982 Tidd Crane Carrier Production number 207 was the last Carrier built in Te Rapa
September 1982 The Tidd Hydrasteer axle developed for Cochrane's Transport
March 1985 First of 2 Grove TM1150 110 Tonne Truck mounted Cranes sold to Carlton Hire

 

1987-1996

September 1987 The last production of Tidd Tag Axle (no 1506) fitted to a Hino Truck
March 1988 First Hydraulic House Removal Trailer Built
August 1994 TRT appointed Iveco Parts and Service Dealers Waikato

 

1997-2006

March 1997 First TRT Developed Central Tyre Inflation System TractionAir is fitted to a Trevor Masters Kenworth Logging Truck
July 1997 Business growth, brings a shift to new premises in Maui St
October 1999 Putaruru Fabrication plant moved to Maui St. Following extensions to Fabrication workshop
November 1999 First TractionAir Kit fitted in Australia.
November 1999  TRT gained Scania Franchise
April 2000 TRT (Aust) Pty Ltd formed to market our Trailer PRoducts & TractionAir throughout Australia.
June 2000 First 100 Tonne Grove German All Terrain Crane sold to NZ Crane Hire
April 2001 TRT gains DaimlerChrysler Truck Parts & Services Agencies for Mercedes Benz Truck, Freightliner and Sterlin
October 2002 Manitowoc purchased Grove & Potain extending the range of Cranes sold by TRT to include Mobile, Crawler and Tower Cranes.
August 2003 First Potain Tower Crane supplied to Coast Site
July 2004 Extension of Fabrication and Service Bays in Hamilton
September 2004 EWP Travel Tower manufacture agreement signed
October 2004 Opening of Auckland Parts Branch
January 2005 TRT added Brake Roller Diagnosis System
September 2005 Take over Owens Transport Depot adjacent to TRT to house EWP Factories
January 2006 TRT appointed Waikato Parts & Service Dealers Mitsubishi FUSO Trucks
January 2006  TRT began manufacture of Fibreglass Components
October 2006 Purpose Built Sand Blast and Paint Bay
October 2006  TRT announces joint venture in B.O.P. with Central Diesel Services of Mount Maunganui

 


 

2007-2016

July 2007 Crane Service workshop added
July 2008 Further extensions completed to Mechanical Service Bays
September 2008 Steel processing facility (White Shed) built including Brake Press
December 2009 Site is extended with the acquisition of more yard space
February 2010 Generation 5 TractionAir CTI released incorprating GPS Speed Up Control
May 2010 With longterm supply partner Fleeguard, TRT introduce ISO-VDA approved locally manufactured AdBlue to the New Zealand market.
December 2010 Twenty person Training Room completed
July 2011 New paint booth added
March 2012 Purchase of new premises - previously Steel & Tube in Maui Street, Hamilton
March 2012  NZ Cranes Group take delivery of New Zealand's largest mobile crane, a 7 axle Grove GMK7450
October 2012 New Steel Prep Plant and Crane Manufacturing Facility at 32 Maui Street Commissioned
December 2012 Installation of Line Boring Equipment
April 2013 The first TRT Multi-Line Platform commissioned for MacTrans QLD. The 8 line Rows of 8 Low Loader designed for loads over 150t
June 2013 The New TIDD PC25 Articulating Crane is launched at the NZ Crane Association Conference, Napier
July 2013 Wade McKenzie, Auckland take delivery of the first TIDD PC25 Articulating Crane sold
July 2013  EWP Travel Tower manufacture build number 400 completed
September 2013 Production for TIDD PC25 Crane commences
October 2013 Australian launch of TIDD PC25 at Crane Industry Conference in Tasmania
June 2014 TRT introduces the “Widening Stool” for widening trailers
July 2014 TRT appoints a new Crane Sales role for TRT (Aust Pty Ltd) based in Melbourne as the business looks to expand its Australian presence.
October 2014 Two sets of 3 Specialist Side Tippers for Watercare supplied
February 2015 First of 5 specialist Transporters for New Zealand Defence Force delivered.
July 2015 Contract signed with RMMVA to supply Tipping Bodies to Australian Deference Force under Land 121 contract
August 2015 TRT begins manufacture of Aluminium Body Trailers
November 2015 TRT named winner of 2015 Ministry of Defence Award for Excellence
March 2016 Sold first of TRTs new design Crane Borer into Australia
May 2016 Established new premises for TRT in Australia at 1028 Lytton Rd Brisbane
May 2016  TRT purchased B&N Cranes in Brisbane, also taking our distribution of Manitowoc Cranes for the State of Queensland
May 2016 Troy Hand appointed General Manager of TRT's Crane Service and Parts Business in Australia
November 2016 TRT sell first 30 Tonne Construction Tipper in New Zealand Market
December 2016 First 13 metre EWP, the NL130, supplied to Nifty Lift under manufacture and supply agreement

 

2017-2020

2017 TRT celebrates 50 Years in business.
April 2017 Expansion of TRT Parts Warehouse and Distribution facility in Auckland
April 2017  TRT Auckland becomes IVECO Parts Dealers
June 2017 Total revamp and modernisation of TRT's Service Reception area in Hamilton
December 2017 TRT celebrates its 50th birthday with customers, contributors, supports and past and present staff at a large 400 seat dinner held at Claudelands Events Centre.
August 2018 TRT opens up a truck and trailer parts division with support for trailers, and cranes divisions in Christchurch, the first time TRT has had a physical presence in the South Island.
November 2018 TRT announced as HIAB's NZ partners for HIAB truck loader cranes, ZEPRO truck tail lifts, JONSORED and LOGLIFT log cranes, MULTILIFT equipment, and MOFFETT truck mounted forklifts.
January 2019 TRT appoints role of Country Manager for Australia as a result of growth
May 2019 TRT launches the new TIDD PC28, its latest innovation in pick and carry crane technology.
May 2019 TRT trailer innovations ESS and Quick Connect launch at the Brisbane Truck Show
May 2019 TRT Australia becomes a level 2 service agent for HIAB cranes in QLD
September 2019 TRT launched Traction Air® E-Series in Australia and New Zealand
October 2019 TRT launches VersaLock crane trailer system at CICA in Hunter Valley
January 2020 TRT was appointed as the official Kobelco dealer in Oceania
February 2020 JDM Services Aust. appointed as the new TIDD Service Agent in Victoria
October 2020 RONCO appointed as our new TIDD dealer in Western Australia
November 2020 TRT appoints New Dealer for TIDD Cranes - RONCO Western Australia

2021 - Present

September 2021 TRT Australia announces brand refresh
November 2021 Neil Webb appointed as the new General Manager
April 2022 TRT celebrates its 100th TIDD Pick and Carry Crane sale to CPB Contractors in Brisbane
August 2022 Complete Crane Solutions appointed as the new TIDD Service Agent in Western Australia
November 2022 New TIDD PC28-2 Crane introduced to the market
April 2023 The new trading name TRT (2021) Pty Ltd was created
May 2023 Major ownership change for TRT
