Overview

Built to dig deep, lift strong and keep the job moving.

The TIDD Crane Borer is engineered for powerline, pole and infrastructure work where strength, reach and control matter.

Designed and manufactured by TRT, it combines crane lifting capability with high-performance boring power, giving crews a practical, reliable solution for demanding worksites.

Features

Bore, place and keep moving.

The TIDD Crane Borer is built to handle the real demands of utility and infrastructure worksites. Its lighter, stronger construction uses high-tensile steel and an optimised six-sided boom design to improve lifting and boring performance while supporting greater payloads.

  • Six-sided boom strength

The advanced six-sided boom profile is designed to maximise load chart performance and boring stiffness.

It gives operators the reach, stability and control needed for demanding pole and infrastructure work.

  • High-torque boring power

A high-torque, variable-speed auger motor delivers up to 16,000Nm of torque, with auger speeds from 20–60rpm and compatibility with augers up to 900mm.

  • Flexible stabilisation

Multi-position outriggers support 0%, 50% and 100% stabilisation modes, giving operators flexibility across different jobsite conditions and load requirements.

  • Safer auger stow

The hydraulic and mechanical auger stow system is designed to improve safety and reliability, helping operators secure the auger cleanly and reduce manual handling risks.

  • Controlled pole placement

Double-acting retractable pole jaws stabilise poles from 150mm to 400mm in diameter.

A heavy-duty steel tray, pole carriage system, rope rails and tie-down points help keep the work area practical and secure.

  • Reliable hydraulic performance

The high-capacity hydraulic system includes a load-sensing pump, 255L oil tank, oil cooler and filtration as standard.

A hydraulic tool hose reel provides 25L/min for optional tools such as a pole tamper or pole jack.

  • Operator control and load management

Fully proportional joystick controls give operators smooth, practical control from the ergonomic operating station.

The Robway 8510 load management system adds confidence across lifting and boring work.
